Over 100 Exhibitors – Two strong cooperation partners

Over one hundred exhibitors have booked a stand at FMB-Süd 2018, and the trade show company has gained two strong regional partners in the shape of the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster as well as the Centre of Excellence SMEs 4.0.

Five months before the second FMB-Süd opens its doors at Augsburg Exhibition Centre on 7th and 8th February 2018, the trade show organizer Clarion Events is more than satisfied with the number of bookings received to date. Portfolio Manager Christian Enßle: “More than one hundred companies have registered to participate in the show, which is a considerably higher number of bookings than we had this time last year. Many companies showcasing their products and services for the first time in the 2017 event have now re-booked, which means that the expectations regarding the début event were evidently fulfilled. However, we have also succeeded in attracting numerous first-time exhibitors such as LEDVANCE, Betz-Chrom and InPeKo.”

The exhibitors cover the entire supply chain in the field of mechanical engineering – from metalworking to drive, electrical and control engineering through to industry-related services for design engineering, logistics and maintenance. The number of regional companies exhibiting at the show is also well balanced. Many of these, for instance Taktomat, MIFA Aluminium and AxynTEC Dünnschichttechnik, are from the region, but a large number of enterprises are also based in the northern half of Germany – including Kawasaki Robotics and Phoenix Contact. By taking part in the show they will be intensifying their presence in this area of Germany and seeking to establish contacts with potential clients in the technological hub of the south.

The trade show company is confident that at least 180 exhibitors will take part in the event in Augsburg in February 2018 where they will be showcasing their portfolio of products and services for mechanical and plant engineering. Christian Enßle: “We are conducting talks with many companies and expect to receive a large number of bookings at the FMB show in Bad Salzuflen.

The lecture program accompanying the show is being organized by the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster, which comprises some 180 companies and research institutes in the field of mechanical engineering and automation technology. The trade show company has also succeeded in acquiring the newly established Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum in Augsburg (Centre of Excellence SMEs 4.0.), which is run by the Fraunhofer Einrichtung für Gießerei-, Composite- und Verarbeitungstechnik (IGCV) (Fraunhofer Institute of Foundry Engineering, Composite Technology and Process Engineering). Christian Enßle: By doing so, we now have two strong partners and a real win-win situation – we are able to provide them with a forum with the trade show and, in return, they will lend us their support in addressing the exhibitors and visitors.”
