The future of food, hospitality and agriculture in Africa will be a key theme throughout the 2017 installment of FOODAGRO AFRICA, which will run from 2 – 4 June 2017 in Kenya, 10 – 12 August 2017 in Tanzania and 12 – 14 May 2017 in Ethiopia. More than 200 + exhibitors will showcase their latest innovations to thousands of buyers and decision makers, all looking to place orders on the industry’s newest products. Visitors will also be able to hear from experts who will offer business support, advice and debate during the three-day events.

Food, hospitality and agriculture is one of the most important sectors of the African economy and is expected to be the driving force behind the alleviation of the continent’s poverty. It accounts for 65% of the continent’s employment and 75% of its domestic trade. The economies of most African countries are growing faster than anywhere else in the world and agriculture, which accounts for a third of Africa’s GDP, is poised to be the next step in the development of the region.

FOODAGRO AFRICA, Africa’s largest food, hospitality and agriculture exhibition, closed its door in July 2016 recording a further increase in the level of internationality on both the exhibitors and visitors side. Altogether, more than 150 exhibitors presented their latest products, machinery and food trends from over 20 countries around the world, with over 4800 business visitors in attendance.

The 2017 event promises to be even bigger and better with new features added to the show. As a proven platform for business transactions, the event will showcase the latest developments in the food, hotel and agriculture industry, with prominent industry experts, stakeholders and decision makers in attendance, making it an ideal event to source new products, network and usher in new contacts and business opportunities. Marking its 20th anniversary in the industry, Expogroup expands its ever growing presence in East Africa with the launch of FOODAGRO AFRICA in Ethiopia. Ethiopia has one of the fastest growing economies in Africa and possesses huge potential for investors and businesses looking to tap the market. This coupled with a favorable business environment and sound infrastructure makes it an attractive option for international companies.
