LED lights, networked control, energy efficiency, design and human centric Lighting: Innovative lighting technology has become one of the most important aspects of “smart home”. At the same time, the demand for modern solutions is also increasing in the industrial and commercial sectors as well as in external areas. This trend is also reflected at efa as the most important platform for building and electrical engineering in Central Germany. The lighting sector is now the second strongest in the trade fair. This year, visitors will once again have a wide range of future-oriented solutions in the exhibition and expert knowledge in the “Themenforum Licht”.

Amongst them ABH Beleuchtung, Brumberg Leuchten, Dotlux, ESYLUX, FLUOLITE Licht & Leuchten, Gessler, GEWISS, IDV/ MEGAMAN, KALUX, ledxon, Leipziger Leuchten, MBN PROLED, Regiolux, Rutec Licht, RZB, SLV, Sun Cracks, TRILUX und Züblin Elektro, just to name a few.
Bundled exhibitor competence for the entire lighting spectrum.
TRILUX for example presents its energy-efficient lighting management system, LiveLink, which is also suitable for the realization of “Human Centric Lighting” concepts (HCL). Brumberg is also dedicated to the subject of HCL and presents its high-quality lighting solutions dim2warm, TunableWhite and the intelligent vitaLED System. RZB shows HOME, a stylish lighting series for home and garden. In addition, the company will be presenting the extremely flat LED light FlatPolymero Circle Slim and the red dot award-winning office lighting series SONIS EVO. ESYLUX introduces the CELINE Quadro Set, an extensively expandable LED light system for system ceilings with luminaires, integrated sensors and control units.
GEWISS shows LED lighting systems for the public space. The Road [5] series is particularly suitable for roads, multi-lane roads and large outdoor installations. An LED multi talent for industry and trade presents Regiolux with the “worker” luminaire, which is characterized by very good un-glare and a high energy saving potential. Sun Cracks is represented for the first time at the efa, which offers a large portfolio of panel and pendulum lights, cable suspensions, body housings as well as new presence and motion detectors with its brand “better than light”.
Themenforum Licht: Expertise on current topics and technologies
The lighting area is supported by the Deutsche Lichttechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (LiTG) – District Group Leipzig-Halle. It is represented by a stand at the trade fair and participates with various lectures at the ‘Themenforum Licht’, which offers a varied program on all three exhibition days. Focuses are, among others, LED in exterior lighting, LED and light quality, LED retrofit, interfaces of ballasts and controls as well as the design possibilities with light. In addition, various efa exhibitors will enrich the light of topics with lectures on current topics and developments.
Products on site experience in the special show “E-Haus”
Modern lighting solutions in combination are exhibited at the special show E-House of the Deutschen Elektro- und Informationstechnischen Handwerke (ZVEH). Only energy-saving LED lighting systems are used at the e-house. The control of lighting / space scenes is carried out by means of KNX and the digital control of lighting technology via DALI and DMX. All presented functions are presented in the accessible model house and are already used in practice.

The 15th efa, the trade fair for building and electrical engineering, lighting, air-conditioning and automation, is the important information and communication platform for building and electrical engineering for Central Germany and the neighboring regions. The trade fair combines the interests of industry, trade, crafts, architects, planners and investors. The experts will present the latest topics and innovative technologies in the exhibition and the specialist program.
