After the total success of the first AI EXPO, a show focussing on artificial intelligence at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, the AI EXPO is to be continued from April 4th – 6th 2018. The next issue would be three times bigger than the 2017 edition. Definitely worth a visit!
Although AI EXPO was launched for the first time, 147 exhibitors, 41,677 visitors from 28 countries were present. 6,792 conference attendees and 397 press visitors had the show on their “place-to-be” list.
On the basis of the positive feedback from the exhibitors, most exhibitors have already booked their booths and conference room for the next edition during the show and new applications have also been made by new exhibitors. Therefore, although the size of the show would be three times greater the previous edition, the entire AI EXPO is expected to be sold out in an early stage.
AI EXPO has, in its first edition, developed from zero to one of the world’s leading AI fairs. In recent years, the need for artificial intelligence has increased in almost all industries. With the background, Reed Exhibitions Japan launched this show. The show is Japan’s first trade fair for research, applications, equipment and services related to AI.
Since the growth in the AI market has not yet at reacht its peak, the AI EXPO attracts much attention, not only in Japan. An ideal place for professionals involved in AI technologies and services to interact with each other.
Industry leaders spoke at the conference!
As a great opportunity to learn about the latest technology and to enter directly into the market and technology, the conference attracted a total of 6,792 participants. Ms. Mayumi Miyasaka, Head of Watson IBM Japan, described how IBM Watson has helped to create business advantages, along with installation examples in various industries in Japan and abroad. Mr. Akira Sakakibara, CTO of Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. revealed the latest trend towards AI and its “Democratizing AI” strategy to provide AI and be beneficial to any person and organization, or developer.
Next year … New AI EXPO
AI EXPO is to be continued next April. The next edition expected to be three times bigger than the 2017 edition.
